Baseball is in Steve’s blood. He is a Baltimore native and former player for the Baltimore Orioles organization.
His roots in America’s pastime echo way back to his father, Al Bumbry, an Orioles legend who slugged it out for 14 years in the MLB and coached for more than 30 years following his retirement from the game. Steve is all about passing on his love for the game to the next generation, and he comes to us with countless expert testimonials from other MLB and MiLB pros. After 7 years of consecutive injuries, his professional career ended.
In 2018 he and his wife created Bee Well Living, a Holistic Wellness company serving businesses and their leaders throughout Maryland and Washington DC.

Hernan Colmenarez brings real professional baseball experience to the field—and a real passion for helping young athletes grow.
Originally from Barquisimeto, Venezuela, Hernan signed with the Minnesota Twins in 2010 and pitched in their minor league system before continuing his playing career with the Rio Grande Valley White Wings. After years on the mound, he transitioned into coaching to share everything he’s learned with the next generation.
At The St. James, Coach Hernan focuses on developing pitchers and catchers with an emphasis on proper mechanics, body control, and injury prevention. He combines pro-level insight with a hands-on, encouraging style that connects with players of all experience levels.
In addition to coaching, Hernan is also a certified sports agent and Vice President at SCS Rep Sports, where he represents professional athletes.
